Production Machine Operator

Job Summary: Sets up and operates heavy-duty power press for coil fed and hand fed operations to form or cut metal material by performing the following duties. Participates in the company?s Quality Initiatives including TS/ISO certification and maintenance of quality systems in place.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clocks into work station and loads job based on dispatch list through Manufacturing Software.
Retrieves tools, raw materials and other ancillary equipment necessary to complete job.
Sets die into press, aligning and bolting it to ram and bed of machine and changes out bolster plate when necessary.
Ensures die protection is setup and in proper working condition.
Sets shut height using setup specifications in Manufacturing Software and checks accuracy using a tape measure and lead check.
Loads coils onto arbor/un-coiler/reel using fork lift or overhead crane and feeds it into press.
Makes necessary adjustments to press and feeder in order to run at optimum speed.
Sets up other ancillary equipment and make adjustments as required for job.
Runs production based on the standard run rate listed in the Manufacturing Software and production quantity requirements.
Records production information into Manufacturing Software.
Performs all required quality checks using proper tools and notifies the appropriate person of any non-conformances.
Grinds out burrs and sharp edges when necessary.
Packages, contains, or palletizes finished goods per instructions in Manufacturing Software.
Prints tags/labels from Manufacturing Software and affixes to FG
Notifies material handler when FG material is ready to be picked up and moved to proper location.
Removes die from press, green/red tags the die based on condition, and returns it to delegated storage area
Ensures workstation remains clean and all tools and ancillary equipment are returned to delegated storage area when finished running job.
Troubleshoots technical issues and notifies the appropriate person if assistance is required.
Qualifications (Education, work experience, specialized skill, and knowledge): To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School diploma or General Education Degree; 2 years manufacturing experience preferred; At least 3-6 months as a Press Tech 1; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software and Manufacturing Software.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to handle, or feel. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
