Management Accountant, Finance - Lavonia

JOB SUMMARY:
Employer Kautex of Georgia Inc. is seeking a
Management Accountant, Finance-Lavonia.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain all elements of the SAP-based ERP
system for the Cost (CO) element of the Company's financial structure. Maintain
standard costs by correctly calculating, maintaining, and updating all part
numbers, Bills of Material (BOMs), and Process Labor Routings. Calculate
buildup of overhead and labor rates to be applied to products and maintain all
costs of materials. Roll the standards annually to ensure accuracy of costs to
current information. Serve as the finance lead on the Engineering Change Notice
(ECN) team to ensure that Operations Managers understand the cost implications
of all engineering product changes. Tie in ECNs to corresponding changes in
vendor products to ensure price changes are managed and matched to any and all
sales changes associated with these ECNs. Work with Materials Management on
inventory levels, obsolete, slow-moving classifications, and cycle count to
ensure book-to-physical inventory alignment. Plan and coordinate the Annual
Physical Inventory and any off-site inventory counts performed during the year.
Work closely with Material Planners and Sales Managers to understand customer
volume requirements for the year and to understand changes that are happening
currently, along with revisions further out in the year. Prepare all cost
associated journal entries for month ends, quarter ends and year ends. Submit
all reports to Headquarters to explain operational performance, sales changes,
foreign exchange implications, etc. Manage Kautex of Georgia's SAP-based ERP
system and develop the functionality of the system, sharing that expertise throughout
our North American operations as other offices are brought online. Work with
Global Customer Business Unit leads to quote new business, and create future
models to project cost structures out into the future in order to competitively
quote new business. Participate in financial gate reviews to understand how new
business that is coming in will launch, and what changes are required to the
financial metrics of the program. Complete both the strategic business review
for five years and the detailed Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for one year
annually (including a complete financial business plan and backup analysis of
the base data for presentation to Senior Leadership). Complete key performance
metrics which are operational based metrics on a weekly basis, while also
completing a weekly forecast projection and ensuring that it ties into and
makes sense with the operational metrics. Control overhead spending and work
with each department manager to help them understand their budget and where
they are in relation to actual spending against that budget. Keep up with all
Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) timelines and ensure that there is a segregation of duties
amongst those with system access. Create mitigation controls to prevent
financial risks to the Company. Work with Sales Managers around the globe to
ensure all customer sales prices are correct and that Kautex has all the
current purchase orders. Work with the Accounts Receivables lead to investigate
sale price payment discrepancies. Maintain cross-functional knowledge to back
up financial accountants.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,
Financial Services, or in a closely related or equivalent field, or foreign
equivalent.

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, Employer will accept a relevant post-secondary
degree or foreign equivalent plus three years of professional Finance or
Accounting experience for each academic year required towards an equivalency to
a four-year Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Services. 5
years of financial and management accounting experience with an automotive
component parts manufacturer. Experience to include: 5 years of experience in a
management accounting role managing cost elements and revenue of an enterprise
and analyzing and aligning operational performance metrics; 4 years of
experience with an automotive industry manufacturing company with a low-mix,
high-volume, specialized production environment; 3 years of experience
performing advanced Microsoft Office business functions (e. g., Excel pivot
tables, complex formulas, macros, etc.); 2 years of experience in a financial
accounting role maintaining control over fixed assets, forecasting cash, and
managing balance sheet items; 1 year of experience as a local content expert
for finance/accounting modules of a SAP-based ERP system; and, 1 year of
experience using Hyperion Financial Management system.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
