50 an hour SUMMARY The Production Planner reports to the Production Planner Supervisor and supports the production supervisors/team leaders in organizing and coordinating production schedules.
As the Production Planner you will be responsible for scheduling the manufacturing operations of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage value streams.
This includes the coordination of resources in order to ensure the timeline for the production schedule is adhered to.
The planner will work closely with the Production Planning Supervisor, shift supervisors, and department team leaders and process engineering to plan, coordinate, and produce a continuous working schedule.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Execute MRP planning cycles in ICIM.
Verify material availability for stock/sales orders and coordinate/communicate efforts with purchasing.
Provide a real time stock work order schedule for the 3 primary value streams (Low Voltage, Medium Voltage, High Voltage) as well as supporting schedules for interdependencies (Core making, Canadian Line bars, etc.
).
Maintain and update weekly, Sales & Operations Planning Forecast and determine appropriate lead times and capacity plans for all value streams through collaboration with Production and Sales Teams.
Evaluate safety stock requirements and revise based on historical and future data.
Participate in daily scrap walks and adjust schedules accordingly for all impacted work orders.
Participating in routine practices and team projects relating to 5S, Scrap, Safety, Quality, etc.
Collaborate with process engineers and I.
T.
for the reconciliation of bill of material issues.
Perform other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
Good communication skills that promotes good communication between departments within the organization.
Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
This is normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience.
Must be organized and practice time management to stay on top of production schedules.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
Minimum of 4 years of production planning/scheduling experience in high paced environment.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Two-year degree Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
